چکیده
This manuscript explores the biological and economic efficiency of partial dietary substitution soybean (Glycine max) meal with cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) in broiler production. As a result shortage Zimbabwe due to droughts, inadequate irrigation infrastructure, high input costs, price controls, authors identified an alternative its availability similar amino acid profile meal. The experiment was carried out at Cold Storage Company Kadoma. A total 150 unsexed day-old chicks (Cobb 500) were used. All birds brooded one pen during first two weeks age fed standard starter mash from National Foods PVT LTD for adaptation. randomly allocated into five equal groups, each three replicates 10 per replicate age. Five experimental diets: T1 (100% + 0% cowpeas meal), T2 (75% 25% T3 (50% 50% T4 (25% 75% meal) T5 (0% 100% formulated be iso-caloric iso-nitrogenous meet nutrient requirements broilers according NRC (2001). Ration formulation using maize, as ingredients (21% Crude Protein) finisher (19% done Pearson Square Method. Feed intake (g) weight gain recorded weekly. Conversion Ratio (FCR) bioeconomic calculated lasted weeks. results showed that Dry Matter Intake Treatment 1 highest (3285 g), Intakes Treatments 2, 3 4 (3284 g, 3284 g g) not significantly different (P > 0.05) 5 lowest (3282 g). Weight gains 2 (2089 2089 0.05), (2098 2103 had 1990 g. (1.572 1.572) (1.565 1.562) FCR (1.64). < 1, 3, (42.16, 41.93, 41.46, 41.13 42.66, respectively). Based on analyses results, concluded prepared boiled grain can used replace diets inclusion, respectively. study is unique interesting suitable acceptance this journal because it seeks provide feeds ever-growing industry rest world.

Replacing dietary soybean meal with canola meal improves production and efficiency of lactating dairy cows.
Previous research suggested that crude protein (CP) from canola meal (CM) was used more efficiently than CP from solvent soybean meal (SBM) by lactating dairy cows. We tested whether dietary CP content influenced relative effectiveness of equal supplemental CP from either CM or SBM. Fifty lactating Holstein cows were blocked by parity and days in milk into 10 squares (2 squares with ruminal can...
متن کاملMilk Production and Composition, and Intake of Holstein Lactating Cows Fed Diets with Partial Substitution of Soybean Meal with Flaked Field Pea
The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of a partial substitution of soybean meal with field pea (Pisum sativum) in Holstein lactating dairy cow diets on dry matter intake, milk yield and composition, blood metabolites, rumen ammonia-N concentration and pH. Eighteen lactating Holstein cows were randomly assigned into three groups based on parity, days in milk, and mil...

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of partial replacement of dietary fish meal with soybean meal (SBM) on some blood and serum parameters of Beluga (Huso huso) juveniles. Three isonitrogenic and isoenergetic diets, as SBM1 (Soybean meal protein (SBP): Fishmeal Protein (FP) =1:3), SBM2 (SBP: FP = 2: 3) and SBM3 (SBP: FP =1: 1) were fed to triplicate groups of fish. After 8 weeks...

The aim of the current study was to evaluate the replacement effect of soybean meal (SBM) at different levels (0 as D1, 33 as D2, 67 as D3 and 100% as D4 based on crude protein (CP) content) by guar meal (GM) on ruminal gas production kinetics, ruminal digestibility and fermentation characteristics of a fattening diet for lambs. Three experiments were conducted. The first experiment of 144-h in...
